All-Ireland Junior semi-final brought forward
Louth County Board are awaiting official confirmation that the All-Ireland Junior semi-final has been brought forward to Bank Holiday Monday.
Louth agreed to a request from Sligo to change the game and it is expected that Croke Park will shortly confirm the fixture for Breffni Park with a 5pm throw-in.
Wee County manager, Peter Fitzpatrick, was happy to accommodate the Connacht champions given that Mark Stanfield and Jamie Carr would have missed the game had it been on Saturday week.
The experienced pair will be available for Monday, although the manager will have to plan without Shane Brennan and Richard Brennan who are away on holiday, with Christy Grimes (Mattock Rangers) and Sean Connor (St Patricks) coming in to the panel.
Official confirmation will be posted on this site when it is received.
